The Public Space Vitality Project was led by Tim Townshend and included: Ali Madanipour and Jerome Hassler, of Guru; Sue Jackson, Bluespace Environments; and Maggie Roe of the Landscape Research Group, Newcastle University. This culminated in the final report; Public Space Vitality: in the North East Region and an event; Waste of Space? Maximising the benefits of public space: a North East perspective attended by more than 100 delegates.
