FREE VIBRATIONS OF OUTRIGGER-BRACED STRUCTURES.
Proc. Instn Ciu. Engrs, Part 2, 1986,81, Mar., 149-152 DISCUSSION ON PAPER 8852 STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING GROUP Free vibrations of outrigger-braced structures F. R.Moudarres andA. Coull Dr A. Rutenberg, Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa In this Paper, the transfer matrix of a uniform cantilever has been used to formulate the free vibration problem of an outrigger-braced core structure. The general formulation of the problem considers shear deformation, rotatory inertia, and the additional massof the outrigger itself. As is well known, these effects are usually of minor significance for the lower vibration modes of slender tall buildings...
